Heating

Most family camper now use electric hook ups, so why not take the chill out of the air with a Camping low wattage electric heater, most campers will use either a halogen or fan heater. By doing this it will give you instant heat in your tent. I personal prefer the Quest Low wattage Fan heater as this blows out warm air, which then circulates warmth around the tent.

Shake Your Sleeping Bag

By shaking the bag after you have taken out of its compression sack it distribute the filling and trapping pockets of air that absorb the heat from your body to keep you nice and warm. We recommended shaking from the bottom of the bag so the filling accumulates in the upper section of the bag where warmth is most needed.

Do not keep Your head inside the sleeping bag.

You may wonder why it is not advised to keep your head inside your nice and warm bag? The reason for this is the moisture in your breath will cause condensation and there fore make your bag damp inside, and by doing this it will not keep you as warm and snug as you will want be.

Layer Underneath not just on Top

When camping in colder climates you tend to take ever throw, sleeping bag, rug which you have to put on top of you to keep warm, this is all well and good, but remember a lot of the cold comes up through the ground as well as lost through it. So pack a good roll mat to put under your air bed or campbed as this will stop the cold warmth from you escaping and the cold from coming through the ground

Pack some Hand Warmers!!

Nice and easy tip here take some strider hand warmers, just before you go to sleep put these inside your sleeping bag to generate some extra warmth for you, you can also keep these in there when you are sleeping.
